Green Renovations are scheduled for Monday September 30th and Tuesday October 1st. The course will be closed for play on both days, the driving range will remain open.

Members have the opportunity to play Competition or social golf at Goonawarra on these days. Monday is an Open Competition, and Tuesday is a Women’s competition, but is also open for social bookings from 11am. Cost is $20, which also includes comp fee. You can also hire carts for the Goonawarra members price of $35 for 18 holes. If you wish to play on either day please call the Goonawarra Pro Shop on 9744 4344 and advise them you are a Gisborne member.

Our greens will be lightly scarified this coming Monday to remove some dead organic material, then followed up in 2 weeks with hollow tining with 19mm tines.

Sand will be spread and brushed into the holes, then fertilised with amendments to aid recovery and growth through the spring/summer period.

The same procedure will be carried out on the cool season tees with the addition of oversowing seed into them as well.

Having all of our own equipment now makes the process more efficient and gives us flexibility if the weather is unfavourable or additional work is needed.
