A celebration of the life of John Wilson will be held at Le Pine Funerals, 941 Mt Alexander Road Essendon at 10am on Friday 12 July 2024.

Following the service, the cortege will proceed to the Altonia Memorial Park (2-14 Dohertys Road, Altona North) for a burial service at 11:30am, followed by light refreshments in one of the AMP chapels / function spaces.

Please feel free to pass these details onto others as appropriate (all welcome), and if you would like to contribute to the celebration of John’s life, through sharing photographs / mementos or reflections on John, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

We were touched by some of the fond reflections on John received recently via email and I was wondering if anyone from Ansett (Sharon) or Gisborne Golf Club (Tom / Brett) would like to share some brief reflections on John during the Tributes section of the service, given that these two associations were such a big part of John’s life.

Please don’t feel any pressure to participate (or find participants) unless you want to.

Indicatively the service will comprise (still to be confirmed):

Entrance music: Celebrant & Funeral Conductor enter after the family and guests are seated.

Welcome/Introduction: Welcome guests and thank them for attending, announcements, eg refreshments following the service.
